Allison

This is a blog about a girl traveling from  to   for studies, work, and travel. My first trip to Taiwan spanned two months in the summer of 2013. I studied at National Cheng Kung University through the Taiwan US Alliance (TUSA) Summer Scholarship program and began to learn Mandarin for the first time.

I returned to Taiwan in the summer of 2016 to work for Hess International Educational Group, and teach kids ages 5 through 15 the English language on a one-year contract. I reconnected with my TUSA friends and host family, even rooming with my language partner from the scholarship, Tammy.

Following my contract, I traveled around Asia before returning home. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences navigating Asia as an American living, working, and traveling. I certainly had fun.
